After 21 years of the Harriers hosting and managing the Elk/Beaver Ultras, 2009 has a new title sponsor and the event will now be known as the Island Runner Elk/Beaver Ultras. PIH will continue to present the event. As a celebration for this new sponsorship, and to recognize that the 50 Mile Division is a National Championship, Island Runner will provide attractive screened Adidas jackets this year to the first 50 E/B registrations (all 5 divisions). Technical shirts will be offered in 2010 and 2011.
