On Saturday I ran in the Scorched Sole 50K.
This was located on Knox Mountain in Kelowna, just outside the city.
Three 10+ mile loops.
660 meters of elevation gaine on each loop.
This was the first time I didn't make a "rookie" mistake!
Great course, at one point during a thunder storm the out and back
marshall said to me and another drowned rat that if we heard thunder, we
needn't run to that little summit!
Long story short, 1st. place gender A/G win.
Mind you Gail Forshaw, also in the 60+ category beat me by a close 20 minutes.
She is one fit girl!
