Blood Work

I ran to Life Labs to get blood work done after visiting the doctor, relieved that my chest X-ray results had come back quickly the day before. On my way, I passed through parks and busy streets, tracking my pace, testing out my new road shoes, and noticing familiar sights like the dormant potato patch. At the clinic, I completed an ECG and blood tests, then began the run back home, crossing decorated streets and tackling a few undulating sections. Reflecting on my week, I thought about balancing work shifts and calorie burn through running and cycling, while hoping for milder, drier weather. On the way back, I encountered a mix-up at a bank, passed the potato patch, and finished my run, feeling accomplished.
