Rithet's Bog Anti-Clockwise

This morning unfolded perfectly — a balanced trio of motion that hit all the right notes. I started with a 7 km e-bike ride through Saanich’s quiet roads, rolling easy and steady, just enough to wake up the legs and burn a couple hundred calories. From there, I swapped pedals for shoes and headed into the Bog trail, running the loop anti-clockwise — 4.9 km of damp earth, soft turns, and that familiar rhythm of breath and footfall. The pace stayed comfortable, around 8:05 per kilometer, a pure Zone 2 effort. To finish, I climbed back on the bike for a second 7 km ride, retracing my path with a bit more elevation and a sense of flow. By the time I got home, I’d logged about 19 km total, over 90 minutes of steady movement, and a glowing “Move goal achieved” notification. A fine way to start the day — calm roads, quiet trails, and that satisfying balance between effort and ease.
