Doumac Park Trail

This morning, I set out to film a short video podcast along the Lockside Trail and Dumac Park, starting near the water fountain that’s been turned off for the winter. My route took me across Roy’s Bridge and toward the trestle, with a few photo stops and hopes of spotting the longhorn cattle along the way. After locking up my e-bike, I ran the steep Dumac Trail, climbing through maple-filled gullies to the top near Del Monte Avenue. Instead of returning down the famous stairs, I took the other steep trail that winds through Cordova Bay Ridge, catching a clear view of Mount Baker along the way. I finished the loop back to my bike at Doris Page Park, ready for a drink and a quiet end to the day’s mystery tour.
